Meeting of Altar Servers and Acolytes of the Pastoral Region of Bento Gonçalves

On the afternoon of May 3, 2025, the altar servers' meeting took place at the Santo Antônio Sanctuary, with around 100 participants. This event was coordinated by parish leaders and members of the Diocesan Vocation Ministry team.

It was an afternoon of welcome and much excitement, reflection, prayer and fellowship, with the theme of the Jubilee Year “Pilgrim of Hope”. Initially, the celebrants of the 147th feast of Saint Anthony, Patron Saint of Bento Gonçalves, gave their message inviting everyone to participate in the festivities with their families. The CLJ Youth Group presented a play, the young people and the hope in the Church and society in caring for our Common Home.

The biblical reflection on Romans 5:5 took place, we are pilgrims of hope, because we tend towards a better future. Seminarian Stefano invited Sisters Ilda Conte SJBP and Clarice ASCJ to give their vocational testimony of hope and perseverance, with their joys and challenges in their religious vocation, in following Jesus Christ in the charism of their congregations: Little Shepherd Sisters and Apostle Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Workshops were held in four groups, after which, passing by the Baptismal Font, they had the opportunity to touch the water, make the sign of the Cross and renew their baptismal promises. Walking towards the Cross, a moment of forgiveness, in hope and perseverance, remembering that the Risen Jesus gave his life for all, also praying for the soul of the beloved Pope Francis and the prayer of the Jubilee Year. Walking in front of the Image of Our Lady, they made the consecration to Mother Mary. The pilgrimage concluded with the priestly blessing.

The meeting concluded at 6:00 p.m., in the main church, with joy and gratitude, they participated in the community's Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by Father Luciano Dal Molin, coordinator of the Diocese's Vocation Animation Service.
