The Santa Teresinha Parish, on June 19, the solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ – Corpus Christi, welcomed the other two parishes of Santana do Livramento/RS: Nossa Senhora do Rosário and Sant’Ana, for this very significant moment for our Church.

Not even the storm, humidity and cold prevented the making of the carpets, demonstrating the solidarity, mutual assistance and creativity of our communities and ministries.
Unfortunately, in the afternoon, it was not possible to hold the outdoor celebration as planned, due to the forecast of rain, which made the Santa Teresinha Church small, due to the large number of people participating.
In his homily, Father Joel Erci Koch Tasso, who presided over the celebration, highlighted the importance of the procession with the Eucharistic Jesus through the streets of our city, demonstrating His constant presence in our lives, blessing our families and city. It is a public expression of our faith. He also emphasized that the Eucharist is Love that is given, it is the beating heart of faith, it is not a symbol, but Jesus who gives Himself, as He did on the cross, but now in a silent, gentle and humble way, hidden in the bread and wine. A love that is broken and shared. Jesus teaches us to love: to give ourselves, to donate ourselves, to become food for our brothers and sisters, especially those most in need.
As is customary, during this celebration, food is shared, a sign of our commitment to those in need. We conclude the celebration with a motorized procession to the Parish of the Rosary, praying and blessing the families of our city.
