On June 24th and 25th, we participated in the "1st Archdiocesan Congress on Addiction Pastoral Care" at the Catholic University of Córdoba, organized by Father Pablo Viola, coordinator of the Addiction Pastoral Care program, and his team. Just over 400 people attended.

A pre-congress was held in preparation for this event in the days leading up to it, with the participation of approximately fifty young men and women in recovery.
The dynamics of the first day were organized through simultaneous panels featuring experts, counselors, and some members of Hogar de Cristo who shared their testimony about the recovery process.
Several officials from the Municipality of Córdoba and Caritas were present, both of which are trying to provide a pastoral response in line with this great urgency. A retrospective look was taken at the path taken and the challenges faced in pastoral responses to Addiction Pastoral Care, which is a global problem today.
The Congress concluded in the Cathedral of Córdoba with the Eucharist celebrated by Cardinal Ángel Sixto Rossi, inviting us to listen to the voice of God, like Abraham, to go out and look at the stars in the midst of difficulties. He concluded by saying to everyone: "Thank you for your mission and your vocation to be healers." Several priests committed to the Pastoral Care of Addictions also participated.
