"The Path of Conversion for a Missionary Community"
The Korean Regional Assembly was held at Mubong-ri from January 5 to 7, 2026. The opening ceremony began with a video prayer entitled "Walking Together" and words from the Regional Superior, Sister Teresa. With the theme "The Path of Conversion for a Missionary Community," we spent three days of retreat and reflection, dedicating the necessary time to prepare for 2026.

On the first day (5), in the morning, we listened to an explanation of the theme "The Path of Conversion for a Missionary Community," watched a video lecture by Father Hwang Jeong-yeon (Jesuit) on the Year of Consecrated Life in Korea and the results of the survey analysis by the Commission for Consecrated Life, and then meditated on a reflection questionnaire.
In the afternoon, the "community ceremony for personal conversion" took place. Through individual reflection, participants wrote down the obstacles they encounter in their lives on a sheet of paper and offered them to God, with the intention of progressing in personal conversion and renewal.
The ceremony took place in the following order: purification → penance → blessing, and concluded with the prayer "Our Father" while holding hands.
The second day (6) was dedicated to the theme "The Joy of Consecrated Life," with an individual meditation followed by a group sharing. Participants were divided into four groups and reflected individually according to the "dialogue in the Holy Spirit" method, before moving on to group sharing.
In the afternoon, we watched the film "I, Daniel Blake" on the theme of "pastoral conversion." This film encourages relationships that focus on people rather than institutions and reminded us of the need for reflection in our pastoral ministry and community. We then had a time for individual meditation and group sharing.
On the third day (7), each group shared individual reflections based on the fruits of the Holy Spirit that emerged from their group. After a general discussion on each group's fruits, we decided to live the fruits as a regional goal for 2026. Concrete actions will be planned and implemented by each community based on their own circumstances and will be evaluated at the end of the year for sharing during the 2027 general meeting.
The 2026 Korean Regional Assembly was a time to experience the journey together with the Holy Spirit. Our task remains to advance, through personal conversion and sharing, the process of maturing the fruits of the Holy Spirit in the mission within the community. Trusting in the Holy Spirit so that the fruits of the Spirit may abundantly mature in our members and the community, we have been sent to our apostolate, which is the place of our life.
