From the 10th to the 14th of July this year, I had the joy of participating in a mission, at the invitation of the Apostoline Sisters, in preparation for the celebration of the Silver Priestly Jubilee of Father Reinaldo Trindade da Silva, in the city of São Sebastião da Estrela/MG , Diocese of Oliveira. There were also other congregations present.
The community, with the help of the Apostoline Sisters, organized a preparatory Triduum. Each day was dedicated to a specific theme, referring to the vocation and liturgy of the week, with different activities being carried out: visits to the sick with listening, prayer and blessings to families and homes; visits the school and daycare; meetings with catechists and those being catechized. We visit, we carry out Proclaiming the Word, blessing and promoting a fertile environment so that more people can serve the Kingdom of God. All these activities culminated in the crowded and emotional Eucharistic Celebration of the priestly jubilee.
I am immensely grateful for the warm and hospitable welcome of all the people who, throughout these days, passed through our lives. How much kindness and generosity! How good it is to live this moment as a Pauline Family, with the Apostoline Sisters, we share the same founder and the same mission of living and giving Jesus, Divine Master Shepherd, especially this week, to the community of São Sebastião da Estrela, with simplicity and joy, testimony of communion of life, together with other charisms present. It was an opportunity to revitalize my vocation and renew my yes. May God bless the work done. For everything, let us give thanks to Him!
