Popular Missions

“Go and invite everyone to the banquet of the Kingdom” (cf. Mt 22:9)

Popular missions were held from October 18 to 20, 2024, at the Cristo Rei Parish, Campo Verde, in Cariacica, Archdiocese of Vitória. With the theme “baptized and sent: The church of Christ on a mission in the world,” the Conference of Religious of Brazil – CRB – Regional of Vitória, was present through 15 missionaries, among them nuns, trainees and vocations, from different religious congregations.

On Friday, we were enthusiastically welcomed by the parish priest, Father Luigi Oggioni, and after prayer, we were sent to the 10 communities of the Parish, together with the local teams, who were already prepared to carry out this mission.

The main objective was to visit families, especially those furthest from the community and the sick. Each visit was marked by closeness, listening, sharing of life, and the participation of the children from the catechism class and the young people from the confirmation class.

The mission concluded on Sunday, with a thanksgiving mass for this beautiful experience that took place in this parish. “For everything, let us give thanks to the Lord!”
