On July 11, 2026, the 3rd Força Jovem Quilombola (Quilombola Youth Force) Gathering took place at the João Sura Quilombo in Adrianópolis, Paraná. Young people from the communities of João Sura, Praia do Peixe, Mamonas, Tatupeva, Córrego das Moças, Sete Barras, and Porto Novo participated. Youth from the Ivaporunduva Quilombo in Eldorado, São Paulo, were also present.

The opening ceremony was filled with prayers of thanksgiving and praise, celebrating the significant turnout of young people and the support the communities provide to their youth.
The topic discussed was "Youth and the Elections," facilitated by Wellington from the Center for the Defense of Human Rights and Popular Education of São Paulo.
The gathering also offered the youth opportunities for recreation, featuring various activities such as men's and women's soccer, volleyball, running, capoeira, and more.
The importance of this Força Jovem Quilombola Gathering lies in how it:
• strengthens integration and networking;
• facilitates the sharing of knowledge;
• fosters unity among the quilombos;
• values the history and spirituality lived by ancestors;
• unites forces in the struggle for territorial rights.
Força Jovem Quilombola is a project within the Pastorelle Sisters' Action Plan; it is coordinated by Lay Missionary Miriam de Souza and carried out through various partnerships—to which we extend our immense GRATITUDE.
