With great tranquility, joy, and commitment, on July 20, 2025, the 1st Meeting with Quilombola Youth of Adrianópolis, Paraná, took place at Quilombo Porto Velho. We began with a delicious lunch, which brought new energy to participate in the various games.

With support from UFPR, the discussion focused on TERRITORY BELONGING and ECOLOGY. After lunch, games began: men's and women's soccer, volleyball, tug-of-war, taco, general knowledge, and others. Another important activity was a Capoeira class with Mestre André, from UFPR.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE OF THE MEETING:
To train youth to strengthen the quilombola identity in the Ribeira Valley, Paraná.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
To strengthen the spirit of belonging to the traditional culture of quilombola peoples;
To identify the rights of quilombola peoples;
To defend the demands of quilombola territory;
To understand the urgency of environmental protection for the survival of future generations;
To become protagonists in the space and time of youth action.
The Quilombo de Porto Velho, assisted by Miriam, a lay missionary who is part of the Community of the Little Shepherd Sisters of Adrianópolis, was instrumental in organizing the meeting. It was a day of sharing, fellowship, education, and fun.
