Canonical Visit

"How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!" (Psalm 133:1)

With hearts filled with gratitude and joy, we warmly welcomed our Superior General, Sr. Aminta Sarmiento Puentes, together with the General Councilors Sr. Lucia Piai and Sr. Sonia Batagin during their Canonical Visit to the Philippine–Australian–Saipan–Taiwan Province from April 15 to May 20, 2026.

This special occasion was truly a time of grace, renewal, and communion, strengthening the bonds that unite us as members of one religious family. Throughout the visit, we were given the opportunity to share our hopes and dreams, acknowledge our vulnerabilities, and express our willingness to support one another in a spirit of mutual accompaniment and reciprocity. We were likewise encouraged to become more integrated communities and authentic vocational communities, rooted in communion and shared mission.

The Canonical Visit provided a meaningful opportunity for the Superior General and her Council to meet each sister, listen attentively to our experiences, and gain a deeper understanding of the realities, joys, and challenges of our mission. Through individual and community encounters, they offered guidance, encouragement, and inspiration, reaffirming our commitment to live our charism and mission with fidelity and enthusiasm. Their presence strengthened our sense of belonging and renewed our commitment to live our vocation with joy, fidelity, and missionary fervor.

Throughout their visit, they shared profound reflections, emphasizing the importance of deepening our relationship with God, nurturing community life, and responding generously to the needs of the Church and society. Their words challenged and inspired us to continue serving with zeal, compassion, and hope, especially among those entrusted to our care.

As we joyfully concluded the Canonical Visit, we express our heartfelt gratitude to our Superior General and her Council for their presence, wisdom, and loving concern for our Province and communities. May the fruits of this visitation continue to inspire and guide us as we journey forward together, serving God and His people with renewed dedication, courage, and missionary spirit.
