Celebrating the Easter Triduum

We, the Sisters of the Holy Apostles community of Caxias do Sul/RS, joyfully celebrated the Easter Triduum with the other communities from April 2nd to 4th. This is the second year we have experienced celebrating with three communities of the Immaculate Conception Parish: Saint Frei Pio, Our Lady of Aparecida, and Saint Anthony - Esplanada. A liturgy group was formed to prepare and lead the celebrations, involving the people and also the catechumens.

There was good participation during the three nights, with one community collaborating with the other. These were moments of mutual help, fellowship, and participation, experiencing the mysteries of our salvation. On Holy Thursday, in the Saint Frei Pio Community, the celebration of the Washing of the Feet and the Institution of the Eucharist took place; On Good Friday, at the Nossa Senhora Aparecida Community, the Stations of the Cross were reenacted by the catechumens, and on Holy Saturday, the Easter Vigil was celebrated with great faith and joy.

For us Sisters, it was a source of joy and hope to witness the people's journey and to experience these moments of our faith together.
