INTERFAITH SUMMER CAMP IN VELIPOJE - SCUTARI 2026

From July 10 to 17, 2026, we enjoyed a wonderful camp experience alongside young people from the city of Scutari and the Diocese of Lezha.

For seven years now, we—the "Pastorelle" Sisters of Scutari—have enthusiastically organized this experience for the youth of our Pastoral Center. This excellent educational and recreational opportunity is made possible thanks to the contribution of the Order of Malta’s "Malteser" organization.

Children from impoverished families—both Catholic and Muslim—participate in this camp.

This year, the experience was enriched by a special feature: the camp supervisor was a Muslim woman (hired by the association as the bursar), who dedicated herself to the care of the participating youth with great attentiveness and generosity, ensuring they lacked nothing.

What defined the camp and made it such an enriching, formative experience was the simplicity of sharing and the joy of living together. We sought to build fraternal relationships without distinction, discovering that diversity does not hinder connection—on the contrary, it makes the encounter richer.
