In an effort to further strengthen our path together and in communion, we began our year in the Province of Jesus Bom Pastor, based in Caxias do Sul/RS, holding some intense moments of fellowship, study, prayer, deepening and celebration at the Pousada Bom Pastor.
Meeting of the SAV Team
On January 14 and 15, 2025, the meeting of the Extended Team of the Vocation Animation Service of the Province took place with the participation of eleven sisters and one Pauline Cooperator.
It was a moment of coexistence, integration and sharing, about the initiatives developed with the young people, men and women with vocations, during the year 2024, and an opportunity to sow new seeds, with proposals for 2025, in which we are motivated to cultivate hope.
At the end of this meeting there was a community prayer, thanking for the journey as a team and the renewal of the vows of religious consecration of Sister Ana Paula Salton, a sign of joy and hope.
Extended Provincial Council – CPA
From the evening of January 15 to the end of the day on January 18, 2025, the Extended Provincial Council (CPA) took place with the presence of twenty Pastorinha Sisters, representatives of all the communities and service teams of the Province.
On the first day, there was a morning of study and reflection, with the assistance of Father Leonardo Pereira, Vicar General and Pastoral Coordinator of the Diocese of Caxias do Sul, on the Final Document of the Synod on the Church, which helped us to deepen the ecclesial reality, as well as on the lights and challenges that this text brings to the path of our evangelizing mission today; to grow ever more in a synodal style.
After the day, we experienced a moment of prayerful walking, praying and resuming the evaluation of the year 2024, in the Province. We prayed for the lights and shadows of the various areas of our life and mission. There was also a moment of deepening the theme of the Jubilee 2025, given by the Provincial Superior, Sister Vanda T. Bisato.
This same theme of the jubilee of hope was celebrated in one of the moments of community prayer, rekindling the flame of the jubilee among us, to better celebrate it with the people of God: renewing our being pilgrims of hope!
On the other days we shared and deepened the different areas of our life as Little Shepherd Sisters in the Province, then planning our actions for the year 2025.
Wedding Celebration
In the concluding Eucharistic Celebration of these days of special grace, presided over by Friar Celso Bordignon, ofmcap, the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Religious Life of Sisters Idília Anna Rui and Marlene L. Caloni and the 40th anniversary of Sister Inês Postal took place.
All of us who participated in the CPA felt united and in communion with the Congregation and other Sisters of the Province, with the Pauline Cooperators and all those who accompanied us during these days with their prayers. We dared to dream of a life of hope among us and with the People of God. We are grateful to God for this experience!
