Last 6 June 2026, the Pastorelle Sisters celebrated two significant milestones: the 25th anniversary of the Religious Profession of Sr Emma Lusterio and the 25th anniversary of the presence and mission of the Pastorelle Sisters in the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa.
The Eucharistic celebration, held at Mt. Carmel Cathedral Parish in Saipan, was presided over by the Archbishop of Agaña, Guam, Most Rev. Ryan Jimenez. He was joined by Most Rev. Romeo Convocar, Bishop of the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa, together with other priests of the Diocese. Some Mercedarian Sisters, friends, benefactors, parishioners were also present on this joyful occasion.

It was a fitting moment to thank the Lord for the abundant blessings bestowed throughout these years of the Pastorelle Sisters’ mission in Saipan. We are grateful to the late Bishop Tomas Camacho for opening the doors for our Congregation to take root in this local Church. Likewise, we express our gratitude to Archbishop Ryan Jimenez, to the present Bishop, Most Rev. Romeo Convocar, and to the many priests with whom we have collaborated in pastoral ministry. Our gratitude also extends to the many brothers and sisters who continue to support us in both our spiritual and material needs.

“First and foremost, I am profoundly grateful to God. It is His call that brought me to this consecrated life and to the doorstep of our Congregation, the Sisters of Jesus Good Shepherd, ‘Pastorelle.’ God’s grace has been the cornerstone of my journey, providing strength in moments of weakness, joy in times of sorrow, and clarity amid confusion. Each day, I have felt His guiding hand, leading me to live with humility and love. My Silver Jubilee was a celebration that reflected God’s generosity and the countless blessings He has bestowed upon me and upon the Congregation.
Celebrating 25 years of religious life, together with the 25th anniversary of our presence and mission in the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa, is truly a momentous occasion, one that fills our hearts with immense gratitude. My Silver Jubilee is not only a celebration of my personal journey but also a witness to God’s love and faithfulness, and to the abundant grace that has sustained me throughout these years.
As we continue on this blessed path, we do so with hearts full of gratitude and, with God’s help, ready to embrace the future with faith, hope, and love. May we all journey together with joy, for God is good and His steadfast love endures forever.
I am always inspired by one of the writings of our Founder, Blessed James Alberione: Abundantes Divitiae Gratiae Suae — ‘How infinitely rich He is in grace.’ Indeed, it is His overflowing grace that has sustained me throughout all these years.”
