Pope Francis: the mission is a tireless journey towards all humanity
“One of the main commitments of the Pauline Cooperators regarding the apostolate is to be part of the organic pastoral action of the Church, both general and local, collaborating with it in the sectors that characterize the specificity of the Pauline Congregations” (Statute of the PC)
The Pauline Cooperators of Eldorado have the following schedule: one month they meet to pray, study and share; the next they visit a Community in the Parish of Eldorado, thus fulfilling the MISSION of the Cooperator: to encourage the Community in the segment of Jesus the Good Shepherd.
On Sunday, October 27th, they visited the Nossa Senhora Aparecida Community in the Sapatu Neighborhood. Below are the testimonies of some Cooperators and members of the Community.
“... we experienced moments of profound sharing and fraternity. The warm welcome from the community made us feel at home. Each conversation, prayer and gesture of welcome reinforced the importance of the Mission we carry out together, strengthening the bonds between the Cooperators and the community. We left feeling renewed, with our hearts full of gratitude and the certainty that we are moving in the right direction. May Our Lady of Aparecida continue to bless us and guide us every step of the way on this journey of faith and service.”
(Luciana - Cooperator)
“We had the honor of welcoming the group of Cooperators into our community. It was a rewarding moment where we celebrated the word of God together. We felt strengthened by the beautiful homily, and we realized that we need moments like this to strengthen our faith even more. I was able to see people I hadn’t seen for a long time and I was moved when they remembered my dear mother Esperança, who was a warrior and a woman of great faith.” (Yolanda – Community).
“...Participating in the celebration in this community was a profoundly transformative experience. Upon entering that sacred space, I was immediately enveloped by the vibrant energy of the culture and history that permeated every corner. The voices that joined in songs were not only expressions of faith, but also echoes of resistance and resilience. The warm welcome from the community made me feel part of something much bigger. Each testimony shared, each prayer said, was filled with meanings that transcended time. It was a moment of significant learning, where I was able to reflect on the importance of spirituality in the fight for rights and dignity. The wisdom of the elders, such as João, Dona Laura…, and the joy of the children and young people reminded me that faith is a powerful force that unites us and drives us to move forward. I left that celebration with my heart overflowing with gratitude and hope. Experience has taught me that, even in the face of adversity, the light of faith and quilombola culture shines brightly. I am deeply grateful for having had the opportunity to experience this moment and for having learned from a community so rich in traditions and stories.”

Words from Alberione – 1960: “We must give great importance to organizations. Yes. Organize for the good. Organizations have great strength and each one can be a saint, but alone they are just a twig. But, if instead of a twig, many twigs are tied together, then they become a force.”
