On the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, we - Srs. Naema, Julie, and I - renewed our vows, for the third time, drawing inspiration from the Apostles’ unwavering dedication to God and the Church. This moment of renewal was a grace-filled opportunity to rekindle our motivation as professed sisters, to rediscover God's abiding fidelity throughout our journey, and to rejoice in His powerful deeds, despite our human flaws and limitations.

A day before our renewal, Sr. Purisima Tañedo led us in a meaningful recollection. She began with a brief yet profound reflection on Pope Francis' Encyclical Delixit Nos (He Loved Us), inviting us to contemplate the question: “How is your heart?” Through this, she helped us revisit and reflect on our formative journey. She also offered Psalm 150 as a focus for prayer and meditation - a Psalm that invites a jubilant call to praise, echoing our commitment to serve the Lord with joy and gratitude.
The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Micha Miguel Competente, SSP, and was attended by our fellow Sisters, the staff, and teachers of Jesus Good Shepherd School. In his homily, Fr. Micha emphasized the pivotal role of Saints Peter and Paul in the life of the Church. “Like Peter,” he said, “despite our weaknesses, failures, and sinfulness, God continues to support and call us. Like Paul, we are sent to proclaim the Gospel - not just in words but through the witness of our lives.” He concluded by reminding us of Jesus’ personal question to Peter: “Who do you say that I am?”—a call for us to deepen our relationship and understanding of God.
As we continue to say ‘yes’ to Jesus Good Shepherd, may the zeal and fidelity of Saints Peter and Paul guide our journey through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.
