On February 3, 2024, the Sisters of Jesus Good Shepherd ‘Pastorelle’ hosted the Consecrated Life Association of Imus (CLAIM) in celebrating the World day of Consecrated Life. It commenced with a Eucharistic celebration at Imus Cathedral, the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of the Pillar, presided over by the Bishop of the Diocese, Most Rev. Reynaldo Evangelista, D.D. In his homily, he reminded the consecrated persons to live in humility and holiness. He also challenged them to reach out and bring to God those who are in the peripheries of society, not only those who are suffering from material poverty but also those who are struggling with their mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. This was also an occasion for the consecrated persons to renew their religious commitment.
After the Holy Mass, the Pastorelle Sisters, some teaching and non-teaching staff, and the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts welcomed the Bishop and the 379 participants from 61 Congregations at Jesus Good Shepherd School. The different religious congregations showcased their talents through singing and dancing performances. The program also included a simple raffle draw and trivia game activity. Jubilarians who celebrated their 25th and 50th anniversary of Religious Profession were recognized and awarded. The celebration concluded with an Agape meal.
The event was an occasion to thank the Lord for the gift of Consecrated persons. May the Lord of the harvest continue to send workers in His vineyard!
