From August 26 to 28, 2022, the diocesan vocational meeting took place, at the Bom Pastor farm, in Redenção, Pará. About 130 young people from the different parishes of the diocese were present.
The objective of this meeting was a vocational awakening in the youth, to discover the call of God in their lives, whatever their specific vocation. That's why each vocation was remembered with affection.
This moment involved the following testimonies: matrimonial vocation, lay vocation, to the consecrated and priestly religious life. There was also a personal experience with the Word, through the “desert”, much animation and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
During this meeting, the team of the SAV (Vocational Animation Service) together with the EVP (Parochial Vocational Team), met to reflect on ideas, in view of the vocational year, which will open on November 20, 2022, and will conclude on November 26, 2023. Its theme will be: Vocation: Grace and Mission. We saw the reality of some young people confirmed and then some proposals were launched as a vocation team.
We are all a mission on earth, we were born in the heart of God to be happy. May the Lord of the harvest send good workers into his harvest. May the Word of God burn in our hearts and our feet set out.
