On 07/08 we held the formative meeting with the Catechetical Pastoral of the São José-Maruípe Parish, in Vitória/ES. 75 catechists were present, from among the most experienced to the presence of youth, a remarkable moment for the journey in Catechetical Pastoral.
We have prepared a subsidy based on the phrase “I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly” (Jn10:10). After a moment of spirituality, the objectives were set: general and specific, then forming six groups for study, reflection and to work on each part of the subsidy.
There was a good participation and presentation of the groups, with a lot of dynamism and creativity. We conclude with an evaluation and the Eucharistic Celebration, thanking Jesus Pastor for our day.

I can say that the participation was very good, we have a good number of catechists. Anxious catechists and at the same time, some worried about the reality they live in their communities. After all, we went two years without getting together due to the pandemic, which brought more challenges to Sunday school and families. Even so, they did not fail to participate in that moment. The training was very good, the group dynamics surprised me, very creative and useful, really a blessing. The central message was passed with lightness and relaxation by the groups. At the end of the formation, I noticed that the catechists left motivated and with hope, with the desire to contribute even more, for a better catechesis, to be able to serve Jesus, to bring Jesus to our children, adolescents, young people and adults. We cannot be discouraged! I was very happy to be a part of that moment. It is very gratifying to be able to help in God's project.

First of all, I want to thank God for the wonderful day he gave us and so much joy in each one. The formation meeting was wonderful, catechists helping in the formation of new catechists, that is, the Church renewing itself, giving everyone an opportunity for the growth of the Kingdom of God. Catechesis renewing itself with the new catechumenal style, for the growth of faith. Lots of organization, good food, well-shared groups showing that the catechesis space has to be welcoming, prayer, spirituality and above all love, helping those catechized to have a personal experience with Christ.

We participate in the formation of catechists. The great satisfaction was to meet some who were catechized by us a short time ago, which made us happy, because I believe that this is the way, to open doors to young people. At times we were moved by the exchange of experiences we had through the groups, concluding in the most diverse situations. This formation certainly brought more experience and spirituality to each catechist. May God bless this entire team, and don't forget that we always need to renew our knowledge and spirituality of charisma.
