“Burning hearts, Feet on the way” by Descalvado
From the 8th to the 11th of February 2023, Sr. Rosilene de Lima and Sr. Adriana Fogaça, participated in the Vocational Triduum in preparation for the priestly ordination of Father Danilo Servilha Rizzi, MI – Congregation of Camillians. The mission took place in his hometown, the city of Descalvado/SP, which is 240 km from São Paulo. It is a bicentennial city, located between two larger cities: São Carlos and Ribeirão Preto.
We were about 40 missionaries, most of them from the Camillian Family (men and women religious, seminarians and lay people) and also from other congregations. It was an opportune moment to manifest the union and communion of consecrated religious life.
During the days of the triduum, more than 400 missionary visits were made to the homes of the sick and elderly, in 03 parishes, formed by many communities. Many sick people received the Eucharist and the Anointing of the Sick.
The climate of the 3rd Vocational Year was a source of joy for the city. The integration of different congregations and charisms provided an ecclesial climate of responsibility and evangelization.
We fraternize a lot with the Camillian charism and others. The presence of the new Bishop, Dom José Roberto, from the Diocese of Limeira, performing the 1st presbyteral ordination in his new service to the Church, brought joy to all.
Let us give thanks to God for this opportunity, where we also had the joy of participating with Father Mario Roberto, of the Pauline Fathers and Brothers.
