On August 3rd and 4th, 2024, at the Spirituality House of the Pauline Sisters, Regina City in São Paulo, more than 70 Pauline Cooperators, from the Southeast Region, which includes the States of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo, gathered for the 2nd Regional Meeting.
We began with an invitation to form an orchestra, with a beautiful symphony, and to the sound of it we would reach Paradise, as Blessed James Alberione said. Walking together in “Synodality” and “Listening” was the starting point for our reflections, sharing, and exchange of experiences, both in speaking and in knowing how to listen with our hearts to the voice of the Spirit, expressed in the voice of our brothers and sisters.
The union of the four apostolates: Communication, Liturgy, Pastoral Care, and Vocation, strengthened us in belonging to a single group: called the “Association of Pauline Cooperators”, living the same Charism and Spirituality. Because this is how Alberione, from the beginning, dreamed of a group of lay people to do something new, to proclaim the Gospel to the men and women of the new century.
Listening and dialogue, as a lifestyle, helped the group to strengthen the path of unity and fidelity to the Church and to the guidelines of Pope Francis.
It was found that studying the Statute was the accelerator of the path, helping us overcome challenges and noise, breathing during musical pauses, so that the symphony does not go out of tune. And “May the Artist's brush touch the canvas of our lives.”
We will continue to be grounded in the centrality of Jesus, Master Shepherd, Way, Truth and Life, strengthening ourselves in Pauline Spirituality, under the protection of Mary, Queen of the Apostles, exercising the apostolate to which we were called.
