From 10/19 to 10/22/2022, I had the grace to participate in the vocational triduum in preparation for the Priestly Ordination of deacon Danilo Alves Lima, ssp, in Brejo Santo, in the state of Ceará. I went on behalf of the Pastorelle Sisters of the Father Alberione Province, to which I belong. Those were rich and blessed days!
We were ten people: seven priests, two Pauline Sisters and a Pastorelle Sister. Organized in teams, the two Pauline Sisters went to the countryside and I stayed in the city, together with the priests. We had contact with teenagers and young people in six schools. We were very well received. Furthermore, together with the ministers of the Eucharist, we visited forty-three sick people.
I felt fertile and promising ground to sow seeds. The Holy Spirit leads the story.
God willing, next year I will return and, if possible, I will have the company of another Pastorinha Sister.
As Jesus said: “I asked the Lord of the Harvest to send workers” (Mt.9,38), I can conclude that Vocation is the fruit of Prayer. Let us remain confident, firm in faith and persevering in prayer.
