When the time is right, I, the Lord will make it happen (Isaiah 60:22). Today, on this third week of Advent, December 15, 2022 at 9:00 a.m., we the Pastorelle in the Philippine-Australia-Saipan-Taiwan experience this joyful and patient waiting. In spite of the Pandemic, the long-awaited moment has come! the blessing of the Home for the sick and elderly Sisters- the Hannah Home.
In thanksgiving and reverence, we acknowledge God’s providence through the Eucharistic Celebration presided by the Bishop of the Diocese of Cubao, Most Rev. Honesto Ongtioco, D.D. In his Homily, the Bishop invited us to persevere and journey together as we encounter the Lord who has made us a gift to the world sharing in his own divine life-the Church. We walk with Jesus and encounter Him in the poor, the least and the last and treasure the people entrusted to us.
We express our gratitude to the Lord who sent us persons who shared our dream and to undertake the task to actualize the long-desired dream to have this “home”. We are grateful to our sisters near and far, to our families, to Francesco, our Contractor and his family, the workers, the many generous persons, even friends of our friends, who shared their blessing with us and those who prayed for and with us. God who is never outdone in generosity may reward them all.
Our friends and benefactors, some representative of the Pauline Family, the Society of St Paul, the Daughters of St Paul and the Pious Disciples of the Divine Master and consecrated men and women of our Parish joined us in this occasion.
