Entrance to the Aspirancy

Last 5 June 2022, Solemnity of Pentecost, we, Jessah Simplicia F. Clarito and Princess Aezel P. Platon entered the Aspirancy in the formative community of Lingayen, Pangasinan. Sr. Lily Ann Santos, the superior of the community, formally welcomed us together with Sr. Lucia Olalia, the vocation directress, Sr. Teresita Sosa, the Aspirant formator, and some sisters of the community.

We would like to share with you our thoughts and sentiments…

St. Paul writes in his letter to the Corinthians, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Despite of my limitations and weaknesses, God has called me and He granted me the gift of faith and courage to finally respond “yes” to His call. As I left my comfort zones and take on this new path, I am confident that I will not walk alone because God will continue to journey with me. With the grace of God and His boundless mercy, I will strive to remain faithful and committed to my "yes" to Him. (Aezel)

My desire to be intimate with the Lord allowed me to see the beauty of religious life. I chose the Sisters of Jesus Good Shepherd "Pastorelle" because of their humble and significant role in the Church and in the community. I was a full-time Catholic lay missionary in my province and experienced pasturing the young. During the rite of the entrance to the Aspirancy, I was reminded of my first "yes" to God when I became a full-time lay missionary in 2018 until 2022. My great inspiration then was the Annunciation of the Archangel Gabriel to the Blessed Virgin Mary “May it done unto me according to Thy word”. This is the icon of the Aspirancy level of formation of the Congregation. I consider this as an affirmation to renew my "yes" once more, my "fiat" like that of the Blessed Virgin Mary in my pursuit to religious life. (Jessah)

Please accompany us with your prayers.
