Last 29 June 2023, the Solemnity of the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, two significant events were celebrated in the Province. We are grateful to the Lord, Jesus Good Shepherd for his fidelity, his mercy ad his compassion toward us.
First, the two aspirants Princess Aezel P. Platon and Jessah Simplicia F. Clarito were admitted to the formative level of Postulancy in the Congregation. It was held after the Solemn Eucharistic Adoration at the Provincialate Chapel. The two new Postulants were accepted by Sr. Amparo Hilot, Provincial Vicar.
Then in a Eucharistic Celebration presided by Rev. Fr. Arnel Panique, OCD, the three young Juniors: Sr. Naema D. Alim, Sr. Leini Margaret G. Billones, and Sr. Julie M. Gonzalo renewed their covenant of love to follow more closely Jesus Good Shepherd in the Congregation. Sr. Amparo Hilot, Provincial Vicar accepted their first renewal of religious vows with Sr. Veronica Gungon and Sr. Teresita Sosa serving as witnesses.
Just like Saints Peter and Paul despite their weaknesses, the Good Shepherd chose them to proclaim the love and mercy they have received from the Lord.
Some sisters from the different communities participated at the celebration. Their presence and prayers are sources of encouragement for us in our formative journey.
